Mr. Baby Doppelganger
When Bug came into the world he was alone without anyone at all. I could tell you he had 4 brothers, 2 sisters, his father Tyranosaurus Rex, his mother Princess, and a loving family of Russian immigrants, but that would detract from the feelings of pity that I'm trying to create and that Bug would appreciate. Being so alone, it was a relief for Bug to find one friend, FauxDoxie, to show him around and teach this and that.

Mr. AboutToBeEeeten
From an interview with Bug:

Yes, there are times, certainly, that my celebrity compromises my safety. ... I would have to [agree] that if one were to eat me, it would be wise to start at the head. It's rather small in comparison to the rest; it gets you started; oh, and it's got the ears, yes, they'd be delicious.
Mr. BabyBug
It is important to be able to recognize the baby-Dachshund in his natural habitat. It's all to common to be wandering through the wilds of soft blankets and furry burrows when without warning you're confronted face-to-face with a baby-Dachshund, long ears, short snout, ... and its too late.

Mr. J.Crew
Well, Bug sends his regards to those of you still stuck at your desk job. He's apparently retired from office-life and taken up modeling, among other challenges he would like to accomplish. As Bug often likes to muse, "impossible is nothing."

Mr. Smush Head
I thought it'd be helpful for all to know how Dachshunds navigate the city in cold weather. The Dachshund wraps himself in a warm blanket, loads himself into a canvas bag, smashes his periscope out the top of the bag, and calls out directions to his "carrier." The ears also help with navigation.

Mr. JustArrived
Believe it or not, there was a time before Bug...
On the day we picked up Bug we undertook a journey...
First we took a bus...

Then the subway...

A quick stop by the impound to pick up the car...

Well, not a very quick stop...

Then on to Jersey...

Where we found the newly hatched Bug!!

Oh, Bug.

Mr. Schleepy
Let's face it: we will never fathom the depths of exhaustion a Dachshund must face; we can only begin to grasp many toils and tasks involved in pursuing the Dachshund maxim, "safety, order, efficiency."

Mr. iDig
Before the court ordered us to take in and raise up the Dachshund known as Bug, we blindly carried on, going about our days as if there were no badgers living in our couch. Bug has enlightened us.
For those of you unfamiliar with the habits and skills of the Dachshund, please check Wikipedia. I'd like to direct you to the history section of the article in which the Dachshund's name is explained:

Some have theorized that the early roots of the dachshund go back to Ancient Egypt, where engravings were made featuring short-legged hunting dogs...[but,] The first verifiable references to the dachshund, originally named the "Tachs Kriecher" (badger crawler) or "Tachs Krieger" (badger warrior), came from books written in the early 1700s.

Mr. Nap
I (Bates) came upstairs this afternoon to find THIS scene unfolding before my eyes. As you can see by Bug's pajamas peeking out, this nap was premeditated. He forced Will to eat enough chocolate to induce a food coma and then arranged himself just so on the couch.

Mr. Weather Watch
Well, Bug woke up this morning to the sound of water gushing into the apartment. While everyone else stood around screaming, he maintained the doggedly cool composure of Cool Hand Luke. He donned his foul-weather gear, complete with reflective-safety-strip-mechanism-for- the-safety-of-small-to-very-small-animals, and raced about setting up pots to rein in the deluge. Thank you Bug. Once again we owe you our lives.

Mr. Office
Mr. Safari
Well, Bates and I were vaguely aware that Bug had been missing for some time, but I guess we didn't really put it all together until he returned - from his Asian Safari? Bates cap'd this snap in the office this morning.
